High clouds have been moving across the state on this hottest day of 2019 to date.
A ridge of high pressure is parked aloft, and this is bringing extremely hot conditions to Southern Arizona through Thursday. Temperatures this afternoon across the lower elevations are between the upper 90s to 109 degrees with a few spots near record highs.
