Tucson Zoo tiger euthanized after kidney disease progresses
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Employees at a Tucson zoo say a Malayan tiger was euthanized Thursday for advanced kidney disease. The Arizona Daily Star reported that the 19-year-old tiger named Sita was the only tiger at Reid Park Zoo. Officials say Sita developed kidney disease at the age of 7 before arriving in Tucson in 2011.
