Tucson tax preparer gets 18 months in prison for false returns

TUCSON – A Tucson man was sentenced to 18 months in prison for assisting in the preparation and filing of false federal income tax returns, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Thursday.
Joseph Michael Vosberg, 59, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting the filing of false federal tax returns.
According to the plea agreement, Vosberg admitted to preparing and filing 33 federal tax returns with more than $450,000 in false deductions.
