TPD receives additional grant to enforce bicycle, pedestrian safety

TUCSON – Tucson Police Department was awarded an additional grant to enforce nighttime pedestrian and bicycle safety.
The $20,000 grant will be used to fund overnight enforcement, the department said.
According to TPD, officer deployments will start next week and will be scheduled through mid-September at various Tucson locations. The locations were chosen based on statistical information, crash data analysis and community input.
