The Red for Ed movement is a year old. Last spring, thousands of educators walked out of their classrooms and marched to the State Capitol.
Red for Ed leaders say the goal of the statewide walkout was to get Governor Doug Ducey’s attention as they demanded more school funding and higher salaries.
Since then governor Doug Ducey agreed to give teachers a 20-percent raise by 2020.
Red for Ed organizers say the fight is far from over.
It’s also calling for more funding for support staff
