Suspects shoot at firefighters inside Phoenix fire station

PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix police are searching for two men who broke into a fire station and opened fire on firefighters.
Authorities say the incident occurred Thursday around 8:30 p.m. at a fire station near 47th Avenue and Dobbins Road.
The crew on duty noticed a suspect breaking into their fire engine parked in the station’s fenced yard.
Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson says firefighters detained him but then a second suspect began shooting at them.
