Supervisors reject proposed tobacco ordinance

TUCSON – The Pima County Board of Supervisors voted against moving forward with passing an initiative to raise the tobacco buying age from 18 to 21 on Tuesday.
The proposal, known as “Tabacco 21,” is still alive in the city.
The Tucson City Council voted to move forward with raising the smoking age within city limits. The proposal includes e-cigarettes.
“Follow some other ordinances in the country and the state Flagstaff has an ordinance. Denver has an ordinance,”
