Summer begins with a triple digit drought

TUCSON – It seems like by the time Summer officially arrives, it has felt like Summer for many weeks.
Well Summer began today and the high temperature in the City of Tucson topped off at 99 degrees: 3 ticks below average. We are also averaging 6 fewer 100 degree days up to this point in the calendar year.Summer arrives! We stay below 100 degrees again. We are currently in a 100 degree drought. Any complaints? #AZwx #KVOAwx pic.twitter.com/l9NycbdH70
