Sudan activists say protester killed by paramilitary forces
CAIRO (AP) — Sudanese activists say paramilitary forces have shot dead a protester amid clashes in a southeastern province.
The Sudan Doctors’ Committee, a medical affiliate of the Sudanese Professionals’ Association, which has spearheaded the protests, says at least seven people were wounded. It says the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces opened fire on protesters in the town of Suki in Sennar province, 360 kilometers (224 miles) southeat of Khartoum.
