Sturgis “superspreader” event

A new study finds the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was a superspreader event. Researchers say 260 cases in 11 states have been officially linked to the ten day event in South Dakota last month.The IZA Institute of Labor Economics in Germany tracked cell phone data during the event. That data showed foot traffic at bars, restaurants and entertainment venues increased.
Researchers say more than 260,000 cases are tied to the event, which led to more than $12 billion in public health costs.The post Stur
