Stocks edge higher on Wall Street, headed for a weekly gain

NEW YORK (AP) — Major U.S. stock indexes are edging higher in early trading on Wall Street Friday, putting the S&P 500 on track for another solid weekly gain. The benchmark index was up 0.2% in the early going, and technology stocks were again doing much of the heavy lifting.
