Special Weather Statement issued September 1 at 1:20PM MST by NWS Phoenix AZ

At 120 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm nearApache Lake, or 13 miles southwest of Roosevelt, moving northwest at15 mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible withthis storm.
Locations impacted include…Apache Lake, Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flat.Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safeshelter inside a building or vehicle.
