Special Weather Statement issued October 7 at 1:06PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ

At 105 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 19miles south of Arizona City, or 28 miles south of Casa Grande, movingeast at 25 mph.
Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible withthis storm.
Locations impacted include…Avra Valley and Friendly Corners.Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safeshelter inside a building or vehicle.
