Special Weather Statement issued August 27 at 5:49PM MST by NWS Phoenix AZ

At 549 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9miles southeast of Tonto National Monument, or 11 miles southeast ofRoosevelt, moving northeast at 10 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include…Roosevelt Estates.
This includes AZ Route 188 between mile markers 224 and 239.Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may leadto localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through floodedroadways.
