SPD awarded over $38K in grant funds to help traffic safety

Sahuarita Police Department has been awarded over $38,000 in grant funds to help with traffic safety and DUI enforcement in the year 2020.
Funding for the increased enforcement was awarded by several grants from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
According to the Sahuarita Police Department, the funding will allow the department to focus on prevention, detection apprehension and prosecution of potentially impaired drivers.
