Sierra Vista controlled burns starting next week

SIERRA VISTA – The City of Sierra Vista Public Works Department will conduct controlled burns at the Environmental Operations Park.
The burns will start as early as next weeks and continue for several weeks. Of course, its all based on favorable weather conditions. They’ll start on weekday mornings and it will last until noon each day.
The burns are apart of the city’s wastewater treatment facility and will reduce mosquitoes, clear dying vegetation and aerate soil.
