Senator Jon Kyl to resign from US Senate

PHOENIX –Senator Jon Kyl will resign from the U.S. Senate on Dec. 31, according to the office of Governor Doug Ducey.
Senator Kyl has signed a letter of resignation on Wednesday.

Kyl was named John McCain’s successor in the U.S. Senate in September.
Ducey says a replacement to the seat will be announced in the near future.
