San Antonio mourns firefighter who was struck, killed by van while battling blaze

SAN ANTONIO (WOAI) — The San Antonio Fire Department confirmed the firefighter who was hit by a commercial van while responding to a fire call has died.
He has been identified as Greg Garza, a 17-year veteran of the department.

Chief Charles Hood said Garza was getting out of the fire engine when he tripped or stumbled out of the truck and was hit by a commercial van.
