Sam Houston State forces 3 turnovers, beats Nicholls 17-0
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Ryan Humphries threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Ife Adeyi and Sam Houston State forced a pair of turnovers, all in the second half, as Sam Houston State beat Nicholls 17-0 on Saturday night.
Sam Houston State (5-3, 4-1 Southland Conference) rebounded from last week’s 20-17 home loss to Lamar, holding FCS ninth-ranked Nicholls (4-3, 3-1) to 271 yards of offense. The victory marked the Bearkats’ seventh straight win at home against a top 10-ranked team.
