Rodriguez’s jumper lifts ETSU past Winthrop 76-74

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Jeromy Rodriguez’s jump shot with 21 seconds left put East Tennessee State ahead for good in a 76-74 win against Winthrop on Saturday.
After Winthrop called timeout, Isaiah Tisdale swiped the ball from Nych Smith who then fouled Daivien Williamson with 11 seconds remaining. Williamson made one of two free throws, and after the Eagles secured the rebound, Kyle Zunic missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
