QB Smith leads Delaware State to 41-7 in his first start

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Shayne Smith threw for three touchdowns in his first career start and Delaware State ended its season with a 41-7 victory over Virginia-Lynchburg on Saturday.
Smith, a sophomore and the third-string quarterback coming into the season, was 16 of 19 for 212 yards passing.
Taronn Selby made eight catches for a career-best 155 yards and two touchdowns in his final game while another senior, Brycen Alleyne, rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.
