Police investigate shooting in central Tucson

TUCSON –A local elementary school was put on a short lockdown after a nearby “disturbance,” Flowing Wells Unified School District said.
Tucson Police Department Operations Division West says a woman was transported to the hospital after a shooting in the area. However, the incident is not related to Walter Douglas Elementary School.
The elementary school was put on a five-minute lockdown, which was later lifted by Tucson Police Department.
