Pima County develops program to help the homeless community
Pima County is addressing the homelessness problem in the community by developing a Permanent Supportive Housing program.
The goal is to help people get off the streets and lower the number of homeless people in the Pima County Jail.
The County is looking to team up with non-profit groups that are able to provide housing for about 150 people.
The agencies would receive about $2.5 – $3 million dollars over the course of two years, according to a news release.
