Phoenix man facing charges in southern Arizona human smuggling attempt

TUCSON – Authorities say a Phoenix man has been arrested, after he tried to smuggle two Mexican nationals through a southern Arizona immigration checkpoint.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say the 24-year-old was selected for further inspection last Sunday morning at the State Route 90 Immigration Checkpoint, after a Border Patrol canine alerted to a scent coming from his vehicle.
