Peru says former president Alejandro Toledo arrested in US

LIMA, Peru (AP) — Peruvian authorities say former President Alejandro Toledo has been arrested in the United States. He’s wanted on corruption charges in his homeland.
The attorney general’s office in Peru said Tuesday that Toledo’s detention followed a Peruvian extradition request because of alleged corruption linked to the giant Brazilian construction company Odebrecht.
