Pedestrian killed after struck by vehicle on south side

TUCSON – A 62-year-old pedestrian has died after he was reportedly hit by a vehicle Thursday morning on the south side.
According to Tucson Police Department, 62-year-old Daniel A. Lopez was crossing Irvington Road near Greenway Drive at around 7 a.m.when a blue 1997 Chevrolet pickup struck him when the vehicle was merging into the eastbound lanes of Irvngton Road. Police said Lopez was allegedly not in a crosswalk when he was struck.
Lopez was transported to the hospital with life-threate
