Pedestrian killed after Friday night crash in Pima County

PIMA CO. — A man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle Friday night in Pima county.
County officials say deputies responded to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian near the intersection of West Valencia and Settler Ave.
First responders found the man with serious injuries after the crash. Deputies and Drexel Heights Fire Department medical personnel rendered aid, but the man died at the scene.
The man has been identified as 38-year-old Rene Fernandez.
