Pedestrian dies from injuries sustained in late September collision

A pedestrian hit by a vehicle in a late September collision died from his injuries in a hospital Saturday afternoon.
Tucson Police Dept. has identified the man as 93-year-old Antonio Leyva Chavez.
Chavez sustained the injuries when he was hit while crossing 6th Avenue on September 24th.
Authorities say it was raining and Chavez was not in a crosswalk when he was hit by a pickup truck.
The driver of the truck stopped immediately and stayed at the scene.
