PCSD deputies are now Narcan trained, equipped

TUCSON – To help save residents from potential opioid overdoses, deputies with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department will now be equipped with NARCAN nasal spray.
Starting Jan. 2, deputies will carry an individual dose of NARCAN in their Individual First Aid Kits. This will follow the completion of the training protocol that teaches the deputies how to recognize an opioid overdose and how to use the spray properly.
