PCSD: 24 animals found dead, more than 60 removed in hoarding case

TUCSON – More than 60 animals were rescued after they were seized in connection to a hoarding case Thursday afternoon at a residence in the 6600 block of South Vereda de las Casitas.
Sixty-seven birds – ranging from macaws, cockatiels and finches, and 18 small dogs were the animals rescued, according to Pima Animal Care Center. The dogs, which were said to be in good condition, included Chihuahuas, dachshunds, terriers, some hairless mixes and Maltese. Pima County Sheriff’s Dep
