Osiris-REx spacecraft lands on Asteroid Bennu

TUCSON – The Osiris-REx mission is led by the University of Arizona. It is the first NASA mission to visit an asteroid near Earth.
Scientists said it is an exciting milestone, but it is time for the spacecraft to get to work.
“It is a gamble, careerwise, but it’s paying off big time right now,” said OSIRIS-REx Principal Dante Lauretta. “Let’s go. Let’s start mapping this asteroid. Let’s find that sample site and let’s plan the next phase of t
