October is Domestic Violence Awareness month

TUCSON – October is Domestic Violence Awareness month.
Local law enforcement held a gathering Tuesday afternoon to talk about how prevalent the problem is in Pima County.
They joined leaders of EMERGE!, the nonprofit group with the goal to combat domestic violence. The leaders say domestic violence does not discriminate.
In order to lower the number of incidents around the community, both communication and education are needed.
