OAS-backed commission to tackle corruption in El Salvador

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador (AP) — The Organization of American States has announced the creation of a commission that will investigate corruption in El Salvador.
OAS Secretary-General Luis Almagro said Friday from Washington that he and Salvadoran officials agreed to install the International Commission against Impunity in the Central American nation beginning next week.
The commission is known as Cicies for its initials in Spanish.
