No jail time for bus driver who pleaded guilty to raping 14-year-old

WATERTOWN, NY (KXAN/CNN) — A New York man got no prison time after he pleaded guilty to raping a 14-year-old girl he met when while driving her school bus.
Shane M. Piche, 26, was handed a 10-year probation sentence by Judge James P. McClusky and he will have to register as a Level 1 sex offender, according to a local news outlet in Watertown, New York. The sentence was expected because, as a Level 1 sex offender, he is not considered to be a repeat offender.
