New Mexico governor pulls National Guard troops from border
SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — The governor of New Mexico is withdrawing the majority of the state’s National Guard troops from the U.S. border with Mexico in a move that challenges President Trump’s description of a security crisis.
Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced the withdrawal in a statement Tuesday, shortly before Trump’s State of the Union address.
