New Jersey prosecutor: No charges in sexual assault case
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey prosecutor’s office says it won’t charge a former state official accused of sexual assault by another worker in Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration, citing “a lack of credible evidence.”
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s office announcement came Wednesday after a review of the case against Albert Alvarez.
Katie Brennan accused Alvarez of sexually assaulting her in 2017 when they were working to get Murphy elected.
