Missing man found deceased near Vail

TUCSON –The body of a missing 70-year-old man was found in the desert Thursday morning.
William J. Baumeister went missing on Dec. 11 and was last seen leaving the 14000 block of E. Troika St. towards Old Spanish Trail on a blue bicycle at about 7 a.m. that day.
According to police, a deputy encountered tire tracks in a desert area near E. Old Spanish Trail and S. Camino Loma Alta at about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Search and rescue crews are currently at the scene.
