Migrant shelters respond to recent City Council vote

TUCSON - After the Tucson City Council’s stamp of approval that is in favor of allowing migrants to stay in Arizona, migrant shelters are busy and feeling hopeful.
The Casa Alitas program serves
migrant families who have left their home countries to escape violence and
poverty.
It's a safe, short-term place for
these families to go to and to reunite with family members in the U.S.The program sees around 1,000 families a month.
