Miami hires Blake Baker as co-defensive coordinator

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Miami has finalized the hiring of Blake Baker as the school’s new defensive coordinator, while also announcing that Ephraim Banda will remain in a co-coordinator capacity on that side of the football.
Baker comes to Miami from Louisiana Tech. He has a long history with new Miami coach Manny Diaz, who gave him his start in coaching on the staff at Texas. Baker also worked under Diaz at Louisiana Tech, and replaced him there as defensive coordinator when Diaz
