Mexico conference highlights Ducey’s border balancing act

PHOENIX (AP) — Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey talks often of the strong “partnership” he’s fostered with his counterpart in Mexico, and he’s an ardent supporter of free trade and the easy flow of business across the border.
He’s also a strong supporter of Donald Trump and consistently backs the president’s threats to shut the border or unilaterally impose tariffs. If those policies were carried out, they’d be a major setback to cross-border business flows
