Meachum sets rushing record, Sacred Heart beats Bryant 47-27

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Jordan Meachum rushed for a school-record 318 yards and three touchdowns, Julius Chestnut ran for 162 yards and three scores, and Sacred Heart beat Bryant 47-27 on Saturday to remain the only undefeated team in Northeast Conference play.
Meachum surpassed Marvin Royal’s 302-yard record set in 2000. Meachum had 23 carries and scored on runs of 40, 70, and 99 yards.
