MCSO: Deputy struck by pickup truck is in serious condition

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputy is hospitalized in serious but stable condition after being struck by a pickup truck in Queen Creek.
Sheriff’s officials haven’t released the 54-year-old deputy’s name but say he’s a 10-year department veteran.
They say the deputy was transported to a Chandler hospital for treatment of multiple, potentially life-threatening injuries Wednesday night.
