Man shot dead after picking up strangers’ tabs at Florida Waffle House

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WTVJ) – A man who was picking up restaurant tabs at a Florida Waffle House was shot and killed during an altercation at the eatery, authorities said.
Craig Brewer, 41, was killed inside the restaurant on West Newberry Road in Gainesville just after 3 a.m. Sunday, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office officials said.
