Man fights with police after attempted bank robbery

A man is in jail for fighting with Sahuarita police after he attempted to rob a Wells Fargo bank.
Officers responded to a call from the Wells Fargo Bank on S. Nogales Highway reporting a disturbance around 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say 35-year-old Keven Smith was possibly under the influence of drugs when he entered the bank demanding money and refusing to let anyone leave.
Responding officers were assaulted by Smith after making contact and subsequently took him into police custody.
