Maddox alleges cover-up in Ivey’s 2015 hospitalization

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Gubernatorial candidate Walt Maddox is asking Alabama Governor Kay Ivey to release more information on her 2015 hospitalization, including if her office told the state trooper accompanying her to keep it secret.
Maddox said in a Thursday press conference the issue is not Ivey’s health, but if there was lying about what happened.
Maddox told reporters, “this is about a cover up.”
