Local students celebrate Ted Walker Youth Day at Old Tucson

TUCSON - 2,000 students
from Tucson-area schools took a trip to Old Tucson on Thursday for the 30th
annual Ted Walker Youth Day.Kids in third to sixth
grade enjoyed free admission and a hot dog lunch all while enjoying the old
west and celebrating the founding father of the Pima County parks.Ted Walker was
instrumental in designing and acquiring the parks we now know in and around Tucson,
according to Tucson Parks and Recreation.
