Judge: Louis C. Taylor cannot recover damages after spending 42 years in wrongful incarceration

TUCSON – A man who was wrongfully incarcerated for the deadly 1971 Pioneer Hotel Fire will not be able to recover damages after spending 42 years in prison.

Back in 1972, Louis C. Taylor was convicted on 28 counts of felony murder in connection to the deadly fire at the Pioneer Hotel. After filing a post-conviction in 2012,  a plea agreement was reached where Taylor would plead no contest. He was then resentenced to the time he has already served in incarceration
