Israel army: Rocket fired from Gaza toward Israel

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military says Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip have fired a rocket into southern Israel. Israeli media say the rocket landed in an open area Monday and did not cause any damage or injuries. There was no immediate claim of responsibility. But Israel holds Gaza’s Hamas rulers responsible for all fire out of the territory and usually responds to rocket attacks with airstrikes on Hamas targets.The post Israel army: Rocket fired from Gaza toward Israel
