Inmate at state prison in Tucson dies from apparent suicide

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say an inmate at the state prison in Tucson has died from an apparent suicide. Arizona Department of Corrections officials say 48-year-old Brandy Brents died Wednesday from an apparent act of self-harm by hanging.  Prison staff reported discovering Brents unresponsive in his cell. Efforts to revive him failed and Brents was pronounced dead. Corrections officials say Brents was sentenced out of Navajo County in 2015 for multiple aggravated assault charg
