Hittin’ the Trails: Blackett’s Ridge at Sabino Canyon

TUCSON – Sabino Canyon serves up quite the lung-busting hike for weekend warriors.
The daunting Blackett’s Ridge ascends roughly 1,500 feet in elevation. A little over a half mile on the Phoneline Trail, hikers reach Blackett’s Ridge. This 1.7 mile one-way trek is not for the faint of heart.
Two hours of switchbacking and climbing await, eventually reaching a peak. The view at the end makes all the hard work worth it.
